At Risk Missionary Program (ARM-P)

church-steepleARM-P is a client-centric and comprehensive curriculum delivered in both academic and practical application form and draws from the Christian Code of Conduct and a multitude of individual courses specifically selected to address criminal threats a missionary may likely encounter. ARM-P provides relevant risk mitigating techniques and develops the skills necessary to improve practically any adverse situation.

The Program is similar to our other At Risk Programs, however its incorporates a strong Christian foundation and principals into the curriculum.

The bottom line is we live in dangerous times, and as such it is important to take the precautionary measures needed to mitigate the threats we face. Our ARM Program provides the client with exactly what they need to do just that!

Risk Management is unfortunately a necessary planning step in mission work and relief efforts. As an organizer it is your responsibility weigh the risk vs reward in your mission endeavors and to make every effort possible to minimize risk where able and realistic. Our ARM Program provides the mechanism for organizers to do just that.  Below are a few of the benefits of the program.

  • Kidnapping and ransom are an unfortunate and real threats in the world we live in. Our training is a key element in your ability to mitigate that risk and strengthen your resolve as a captive.
  • ARM-P allows our Personnel Recovery experts to provide you with a time tested knowledge base as well as equip you with the skills that may very well save your life
  • Possible discounts on Kidnap & Ransom Insurance for clients.

ARM-P has been created with the purpose of serving the missionary population and based off the Christian Code of Conduct. The program covers fundamental skills necessary to minimize and survive captivity. All the while doing so with a Christly resolve by referencing Biblical example throughout the training.

Christian Code of Conductv2

The Christian Code of Conduct lays the foundation for our missionary program. Its contents provide a clear guideline for a Christians conduct as a captive. Our course begins with study and breakdown of the six articles contained in the C.C.O.C. and continually expands and describes the real world application throughout the rest of the training. Upon completion of your training you will have a solid understanding and confidence in these Biblical principles and how they can strengthen your resolve during a time of trial. After an introduction and study of the CCOC we move into CSC which is at the heart of all of our At Risk Programs.

Blue Spear SymbolComprehensive Situational Control is an in-depth and user friendly program designed to provide simple and adaptable solutions to a complex variety of dangerous encounters an individual might face. The course is designed to shape our Clients’ mentality and approach to daily life in such a way that they become highly proficient at recognizing and avoiding critical situations while simultaneously arming them with the ability to recover from those situations should the need arise. It is best to think of CSC as the “software” that enables our Clients to better employ the skills taught in all supplemental courses. Every technique introduced in follow on training is just a part of a readily available “tool box” which is applied in accordance with the principles of CSC in order to quickly and safely resolve a critical situation. After all, anyone can be shown how to properly shoot a firearm or apply an arm bar. The real value in the training with Blue Spear comes from learning how to not have to, and then learning how to do it correctly if you have no other choice. The bottom line is that CSC is fundamentally aimed at instilling the proper mindset and mechanics of controlling and positively influencing your situation.

Proverbs 21:5

The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, But everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.

Comprehensive pre-trip planning is critical to a successful journey and unfortunately it is often poorly done by the majority of travelers. Pre-Trip Planning is the initial course following C.S.C. because of its importance and relevance to travel outside of your local area and the great benefit it will provide the traveler. During PTP, we cover critical precautionary measures you can institute before you ever leave your home. A few topics include smart and secure travel scheduling, utilizing safety backstops such as emergency contacts lists and itinerary sharing, and much much more. In addition we take an in depth look at how to create and understand a destination study report and provide an overview of the various programs  (many of which are free) in place, dedicated to assisting in your safe travel and return. Finally, we introduce pro-active security tactics, techniques and procedures you can employ during transit and while at your destination. Although the module title is ‘Pre-Trip’ it also encompasses proper travel to and selection of lodging at destination. When utilized the information in this module alone will make you a ‘Hard Target’.

Direction Leader

Romans 16:17

Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.

Counter Surveillance and Avoidance are an imperative skill set for possible targets. This module builds off the principles covered during C.S.C. and details their application to the most commonly experienced threats facing travelers across the globe. Upon completion of CSA you will posses the ability to deter, and quickly detect surveillance targeting you. You will also fully understand what techniques to employ if targeted. Beyond the realm of understanding target acquisition you will be armed with a kit bag of tools to avoid traps often employed to exploit and/or abduct travelers less equipped travelers.

City Runner

Joshua 2:16

She said to them, “Go to the hill country, so that the pursuers will not happen upon you, and hide yourselves there for three days until the pursuers return. Then afterward you may go on your way.”

Once you complete the Urban Evasion portion of the program we guarantee you’ll never look at a city the same way again. Here we arm you with the requisite understanding and essential skills necessary to effectively and discreetly move through any urban landscape; permissive or hostile.

Some of the topics covered are:

Escaping escape

Acts 12:7

And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him up, saying, “Get up quickly ” And his chains fell off his hands.

The preceding outline detailed the standard At Risk Missionary Program; however, our consultants specialize in customizing course curriculum to address your organizations specific needs and/or destinations.
In addition, we can be particularly flexible with how we deliver the instruction to your organization. This allows you to single out your missionaries for the most appropriate level of training and proficiency. By identifying your higher risk population of travelers our team can ensure a significantly smaller instructor to client ratio for more involved practical exercises, greater focus on individual needs, and a more personalized experience. In doing so, you can arm your entire force with the requisite academic background and essential skill sets of the program in a larger group setting while dedicating our full resources to those who need it most.

Ours is a labor of love and we’re driven by a passion for providing clients with an unparalleled experience. With our Missionary Program we strive to provide this training to all who need it. As such we do not follow a typical price schedule. Instead we rely on the benevolence of the organizations receiving the training. It is expected that the organization pays what they can afford to for the training. This allows us to offset for those with tighter budgets. If you are a larger organization such as a mission board etc.. we can work with you to come up with the price for the training and share what the equivalent corporate cost would be. For our corporate clients we offer transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and many service options/add-ons for little to no additional costs. All of which adds up to serious savings and the comfort of knowing our goal is to provide excellent training at an affordable price. Below are a few benefits our graduates enjoy:
  1. Free Video Teleconference/Telephonic contact with our consultants to answer program based questions.
  2. Follow up refresher training of any/all ARM-P academics and practical exercises at a fraction of the original package price.
  3. Discounts on the Guardian Program.
